Tambuwal Receives NAOWA President

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has received Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association’s (NAOWA) President, Mrs. Salamatu Faruk Yahaya, and her exco members who were on Courtesy Call in the Council Chamber of Sokoto Government House.

Mrs Salamatu, the wife to the serving Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General, Faruk Yahaya was also on home coming to Sokoto; being Sokoto the State of origin to her husband. She was accompanied by the Executives of the Association, and some female Senior Military Officers in the Army.

In attendance during the Courtesy Call are the Secretary to the Sokoto State Government, Mallam Saidu Umar, Mukhtar Magori, Commissioners of Careers and Security, Garba Moyi, Basic and Secondary Education, Muhammad Bello Guiwa, Higher Education, Prof Bashir Garba, and Social Welfare, Prof Aishatu Madawaki.

At the visit, Governor Tambuwal challenged them to fully support their husbands in the fight against insecurity that has become a threat to national economy, threat to lives and it takes for the nation to be at peace.

Earlier, Mrs. Faruk informed the governor they were at government house to seek for support of the state government in their undertakings.
