The Taraba state Commissioner for Ministry of Budget and Economy Planning, Hon. Solomon Elisha has expressed satisfaction with Journalists in Taraba state for covering the activities of the Ministry in the state for adequate enlightenment and publicity of the ministry and the state programs.
The commissioner made the remarks while hosting Journalists on Friday in Taraba state for a dinner in Jalingo the headquarters of Taraba state.
Solomon Elisha who organized the gathering for the first time, said the rule of Journalists in the society can not be over emphasizes, commended the members of the press for enlighten the public on issues related to government policy and programs in the state in the interest of development of Taraba state and Nigeria.
The commissioner who ensured the Journalists in Taraba state that before the end of the administration of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku this year, his principal, the Governor would complete and commission all abondant projects in Taraba state with the view of living a legacy for his administration in the state.
According to the commissioner Ministry of Budget and Economy Planning, Solomon Elisha the 2023 ministerial briefing Tagged the state Budget ” Budget of Fufilled Rescue Mission and Transition”.
He louded the press for showing maturity in their reportage in line with the ethics of Journalism profession and promised to work with them for the progress of Taraba state and the nation Nigeria.
Earlier at the dinner the state Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Taraba state chapter Comr. David Nya thanked the Ministry and the Taraba state government for the initiative and reitreat the commitment of the press in Taraba state to educate and to inform the people of government policy in the state.
Come David Nya called on Journalists in Taraba to redouble their efforts in times of their reportage in line with the Journalism profession and pleaded with the Taraba state government to always carry the press along in it activities for proper enlightenment.
