Taraba LG Boss Denies Alleged Involvement in Pipeline Vandalism

By Our Correspondent

Concerned citizens of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area in Taraba State have alleged that oil pipelines in the area were illegally excavated and sold, linking the act to some individuals, including the council chairman, Hon. Isma’ila Zakari, also known as Dangote.

The group, speaking anonymously, provided journalists with photographs and a short video clip said to show evidence of the vandalism. According to them, the pipelines, which reportedly connect to Borno State, have been underground for many years.

They accused Hon. Zakari of conniving with others to sell the pipelines and urged the state government and security agencies to investigate and prosecute those involved. Other names mentioned include Abbas Aliyu, Kini Nomiri, Adamu Abdukadir, Garba Audu, Umar Usman One K, and Abdullahi Ya’u.

When contacted, Hon. Zakari denied the allegations, describing them as false and politically motivated to tarnish his image. He had promised further clarification but did not respond to subsequent calls before press time.
