Taraba Perm. Sec caution on objective median reportage.

Journalists in Taraba state have been tasked to maintain objectivity in their reportage, as a way to sustain the credibility of the media.

Permanent Secretary Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Bello Yero gave the task while speaking with members of the Taraba state Media Publishers in his office in Jalingo.

Yero harped on the need for journalists to always strive to embrace training and retraining as a way to better themselves, especially in the era of social media.

The Permanent Secretary encourage journalists in the state on the need to ensure that the credibility of the media is not eroded and to stop social media practitioners from usurping the job of the media.

Yero call on journalist to eschew fake news which is capable of causing security challenges, religious crises, political crises in the state and country.

He lament that peaceful coexistence as panacea to the security challenge currently facing the state stressing the need for the people of Taraba to maintaining love and harmony with fellow humans to enhance peaceful atmosphere for all.
