Taraba State Governor to swear in newly elected LG chairmen

The Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku will swear in the newly elected Local Government Council Chairmen today, Thursday, 2nd July 2020.

This development is coming in barely 24 hours after the state held it’s Local government Councils election that produced 16 elected council chairmen alongside their councilors under the platform of the People Democratic party (PDP) the ruling party in the state.

According to the reports available to journalist by the chief press secretary to the Governor, Hassan Mijinyawa, the ceremony will be performed at the government lodge Takum.

Those attending the swearing in ceremony must adhere to Corvid-19 protocols such as physical distancing and wearing of face masks.

The Protocol Department of Government House has been mandated to ensure observance of these protocols by those who will be attending the ceremony.
