Team New Nigeria(TNN) Flags Off Membership Registration In Rivers State.

One of the outcomes of the TNN’s Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting held on Monday, the 16th December, 2024 is its resolutions to review its membership base and commence an immediate Second Phase of Membership Registration in the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory.

In this regard therefore, the BoT approved that the second phase of the Membership Registration exercise begins in Portharcourt, Rivers State on Saturday 25th January, 2025. 

The registration exercise shall start from the 319 wards and the twenty-three (23) Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the State. All registration materials will be made available to all ward officials by Wednesday 22nd January,  2025. 

TNN’s leaders at the State, Senatorial Zones, Local Government Areas and Wards are directed to take necessary steps to ensure smooth and transparent conduct and conclusion of the exercise. 

There shall be no registration by proxy and the registration form is free of charge and therefore NOT FOR SALE. 

The registration exercise will be declared open in  Portharcourt on the 25th January,  2025.  

The South-South Zonal Chairman, Professor Silva Opuala-Charles is advised to constitute a 25-Man Committee to handle organisational management, the overall coordinating, accomodation arrangement, distribution of events’ materials etc. 

The Online Membership Registration continues.  Since the commencement of the Membership Registration, a total of 27. 1million registration transactions have been recorded.  The portal has experienced a hive of activity this year, with 52% of all transactions being recorded in the 11 months of the year.

New registrations amount to 40.6% of total online registration activity. Young people are the majority users of the online portal at 56%.
