By   Milcah   Tanimu

President Bola Tinubu has affirmed that Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms will have a positive impact on Africa as a whole. Speaking at a state dinner hosted by the French government in Paris, he emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts with France to drive economic transformation across the continent.

Tinubu praised President Emmanuel Macron for his support of African development, noting that Nigeria’s reform agenda aligns with the continent’s broader goals. He stated, “Our commitment to reforming Nigeria’s economy will benefit Africa’s economic prospects,” stressing that the country is committed to overcoming past challenges and building a prosperous future.

The Nigerian president further expressed his pride in leading the country at such a pivotal moment, highlighting the role of Nigerian business leaders like Aliko Dangote and Tony Elumelu in strengthening ties with France. He reiterated that the reforms underway would ensure Nigeria’s economic recovery and support Africa’s rise as a global player.

In his remarks, President Macron recognized Nigeria’s leadership in Africa and the resilience of its people, noting the nation’s significant contributions in various sectors. He also reiterated France’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Nigeria, with particular focus on investments in oil, gas, technology, and other emerging industries.

The state dinner underscored the growing partnership between Nigeria and France, with hopes of further advancing trade and development opportunities for the future.
