Tonto Dikeh, Chika Ike, others banned from taking photos in orphanages

Tonto Dikeh, Chika Ike and other celebrities have been banned from taking pictures with kids in orphanages.

The celebrities who like to spend their birthdays at orphanages have been banned from taking pictures with the children at any visit to all orphanage homes in the country.

In a newsletter sent to orphanages in the country, the Coalition of orphanages and children’s home in Nigeria (COCHIN) said the photos taken by visitors are usually shared online to the “embarrassment and stigmatization of the children”.

The action has since garenered mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.

@Tyek000n wrote: “We’re about to witness the real philanthropists now.”

One Rose wrote “Celebrities are about to stop visiting orphanages. 😂😂😂 But on a serious note it is a welcome development and was about time this happened. Ppl use the poor children to score cheap points.”
