Tragic Attack Claims Lives of Three Farmers in Plateau State

In a distressing incident, three farmers lost their lives in Plateau state as they were attacked by assailants while working on their farms. The incident occurred in the Panyam community, situated in the Mangu Local Government area of the state.

Reports indicate that the victims were in the midst of their farm duties when they fell victim to the attack, which resulted in their tragic deaths on Wednesday.

Chairman Longse Jokle and Secretary Joshua Gufwam of the Panyam District Development Association jointly confirmed this unfortunate event in a statement released on Thursday evening.

The community leaders conveyed that the bodies of the deceased farmers had been recovered from their farms and subsequently laid to rest in their respective villages, extending into the Pushit District. The victims were identified as Panshak Peter, Ishaku Zumuk, and Yakubu Sokyes.

The community leaders strongly condemned the killing of these three farmers. Additionally, they refuted any involvement of the Panyam community in the disappearance of a Fulani community leader, Mohammed Gabdo, who had previously been reported missing by the police.
