Two LGAs In Sokoto Benefit With Multi-million Naira Advance Projects

The two local governments in the Southern zone of the state , Kebbe and Tambuwal were among the 23 Local Governments that benefitted with projects by the present administration under the leadership of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

During the tour undertaken by the Sokoto Council of the NUJ led by its Chairman Dalhatu Abdullahi S/Magori, Kebbe benefitted with renovation of a primary school, construction of Police Station and construction of District heads’ house.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after, the Kebbe Council Chairman Lawali Marafa Fakku commended the efforts of the state government for its contributions to to the local government and called for addition security as the area is frequently visited by bandits.

Fakku also said with adequate security to counter banditry in the area, they can produce food items enough to feed the state and beyond.

At Tambuwal, the hometown of the Governor, there was an ongoing construction of 150 bed capacity Premier General Hospital, 60 kw solar PV mini-grid for security light, Extension of College of Nursing Sciences, 7km township dualized road and modern abbatoir among other devidence of democracy.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after, the Council Chairman Alhaji Nasir Babati represented by the Director of Works Alhaji Mainasara Abubakar Kilgori praised the government for the projects.

He said those projects has projected the name of Tambuwal much as other communities within the Senatorial district to visit Tambuwal to satisfy their needs.
