Calls Grow for Isaac Danladi to Contest Nasarawa West Senate Seat

Residents and stakeholders in Nasarawa West Senatorial District have intensified calls for Isaac Danladi to contest the Senate seat ahead of the 2027 general elections, citing concerns over development and representation.

Community leaders, youth groups and residents across areas including Keffi, Karu and Akwanga said infrastructure gaps, youth unemployment and limited federal presence remain key challenges in the district. A community leader in Keffi, Musa Abdullahi, said residents are seeking representation that can attract development projects and improve livelihoods.

Youth representatives also backed the call, highlighting the need for policies that support job creation and skills development. Sadiq Ibrahim said the district requires leadership focused on economic opportunities and inclusion. Other residents pointed to challenges in education and healthcare access, with Rebecca Audu noting that some communities still lack adequate schools and medical facilities.

Political observers say the growing calls reflect wider concerns about development in the district and a desire for change in representation. Danladi has not publicly declared his intention to run for office.
