University Student Arrives on Donkey Due to Fuel Price Hike

In response to the recent hike in fuel prices, a student from the University of Maiduguri arrived on campus for his lectures riding a donkey. The student, whose name was not disclosed, explained that he resorted to this unconventional mode of transportation due to the significant increase in transportation costs resulting from the fuel price hike.

A photo of the student riding the donkey was shared on Twitter, capturing attention with the caption, “Student of University of Maiduguri storms campus on his Donkey due to hike in fuel price.”

Nigerians are currently facing difficulties following the announcement by President Bola Tinubu that the subsidy on petrol has been removed, leading to panic buying at fuel stations. The situation has been exacerbated by the adjustment of pump prices, which soared from N190 to N550 per liter, further burdening the population.
