By Milcah Tanimu

The hunger protest in Kaduna has taken a violent turn, with demonstrators setting fire to the headquarters of the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Agency (KASTLEA) and looting property.

Initially peaceful, the protest escalated dramatically as hundreds of protesters marched from Kaduna Government House to Ahmadu Bello Way via Sokoto Road. The situation became chaotic, resulting in arson at the KASTLEA office and looting at the agency’s headquarters and nearby private residences.

The incident was confirmed by Mr. Samuel Aruwan, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs. As reported by Nation, the unrest underscores the growing frustration and hardship among the protesters.
