We Are Living Peacefully in Bichi – Reverend Charles

By Jabiru Hassan, Kano

The Christian community in Bichi has expressed gratitude for the peaceful coexistence they have enjoyed with the Muslim community for decades, emphasizing their commitment to sustaining the harmonious relationship.

Speaking during a New Year special prayer session held at the Grace of God Church, Reverend Charles praised the atmosphere of unity and mutual respect in the town.

“We have been living in Bichi Town for over 20 years without any misunderstanding, which demonstrates the peaceful coexistence between the Muslim and Christian communities here. We are peace-loving people and always offer prayers for Bichi Local Government, Kano State, and Nigeria as a whole,” he said.

Reverend Charles expressed deep appreciation for the efforts of Bichi’s leaders, elders, and traditional rulers, acknowledging their proactive interventions in maintaining peace and unity among people of different faiths.

“The leaders and traditional rulers of Bichi have consistently demonstrated fatherly wisdom by addressing potential threats to harmony. Their commitment ensures that peace and unity prevail in our community,” he remarked.

On behalf of the Christian community in Bichi, Reverend Charles extended gratitude to Engineer Abubakar Kabir Abubakar, the member representing Bichi Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, for his inclusive leadership.

“The lawmaker has taken everyone along in his scholarship programs and other initiatives. He is not biased in his approach, and we appreciate his commitment to uplifting all constituents regardless of their religious affiliations,” Reverend Charles added.
