Plateau state Government has debunked allegations in some quarters that it had sold the Liaison Office in Kaduna or any other property owned by the state Government.

Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Professor Danladi Abok Atu ,who spoke to newsmen in Jos on Tuesday described the report making the rounds that the Liaison office or any property was sold by the Simon Lalong administration as false .

” I want to categorically say that no property of the state government is being sold off by any government official or the state government “.rather, the Simon Lalong led government has repurchased some properties like the Barc farm that were sold by previous administrations .

The Lalong led administration recently purchased the NITEL building and the property is now that of the state,he stressed .

In his words ” Before the Lalong administration came on board ,almost all the properties of Plateau state in Kaduna did not have land titles , to the extent that at some point the state Government of Kaduna threatened to revoke them, but the Lalong led administration immediately swing into action to ensure that this was tackled ,”as I speak to your all our properties in Kaduna now have land titles ,our Governor Simon Lalong has added so much value to governance .” He further added.

According to Prof Atu ” The rumours that some properties were sold off are orchestrated by some faceless people to smear my reputation and that of the state government.”

According to Prof Atu ,the claims in an anonymous write-up going round on social media platforms that the state government sold off Plateau Liaison office in Kaduna headquarters is a total distortion of facts.

“The Lalong led administration is transparent and has nothing to hide”.

“We call on the members of the public members to disregard the rumours “, he stressed .
