…Promise to support security agencies with logistics

The FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike has sent a stern warning that the FCD Administration will make the territory very hot for bandits and kidnappers operating in Bwari and environs.
Wike gave this stern warning in Bwari on Wednesday during a Town hall meeting to address the prevailing security challenges in Bwari Area Council.
The minister who acknowledged the prevailing security challenges in the area, sympathized with those who have lost their lives, and those kidnapped and assured them of security.
“We are doing everything to ensure those kidnapped are released. We will fight them to release our people and chase them away.”
Wike said, ” the President has given me approval for everything necessary for logistics, so security will not have any reason to complain.”
The minister noted that the increased insecurity in the North East has made the area unsettled for criminals, promising that FCT will make Bwari Area Council and the FCT totally unconducive for criminal activities.
He further warned that informants of the bandits who are living among the people will no longer sleep, as he
assured of the needed support to security agencies and the area Councils, adding that such meetings would henceforth go around all councils.
He also solicited support from Stakeholders’ to help flush out bandits and kidnappers activities in the FCT.
Furthermore, he advised Nigerians to desist from soliciting for ransom , adding that such actions will only embolden the criminals to continue their enterprise.
Meanwhile, the minister has enjoined the traditional institutions to also support security agencies with useful information to help flush out bandits.
The minister who delivered the president’s solidarity message to Bwari residents told them that the president had given him a marching order to provide all necessary support to all security agencies, in addition to providing vehicles for logistics.
Present at the Town hall meeting were all the heads of security agencies in the territory led by FCT commissioner of police, Garba Haruna, the Sarkin Bwari, Etsu Bwari, Senator Philip Aduda, Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, Imam, Bwari Area Council, hunters and vigilantes.
