“Why GTBank Will Be Sued” – Deji Adeyanju Vows Legal Action Over Verydarkman’s Arrest

Activist and political commentator Deji Adeyanju has declared his intention to sue Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) over its alleged involvement in the recent arrest and inhumane treatment of social media personality, Verydarkman (VDM).

Verydarkman’s arrest has sparked a wave of backlash across social media, with many supporters accusing GTBank of playing a role in the controversial detention.

Reacting to the incident, Adeyanju, a known ally of Verydarkman, accused the bank of complicity and vowed to seek legal redress. He also announced plans to sever all financial ties with the bank upon his return to Nigeria.

Taking to social media, Adeyanju wrote:
“Once I get back to Nigeria on Tuesday, I will transfer all my money from GTB to another bank and close the account. Both in my Naira and Domiciliary accounts.”

He added, “There must be consequences for bad behavior. And we will still sue the bank for the role they played in the arrest & inhumane treatment of VDM and his friend, C-Park.”

The activist’s statement has fueled further public discourse, with many calling for transparency and accountability from the financial institution.
