By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike has promised the completion of the Bwari road by December and other satellite infrastructure for the ease of economic development.

Wike who disclosed this on Friday in Bwari during the inspection of the Bwari road project, said that it is in tune with the Renewed Hope Agenda to improve the economy in the rural areas.

He said, “Without this road how are they going to move their goods. They don’t have means of transportation. We are talking about shortages of food, if we don’t have means of transportation, that is also a problem .”
The Minister who also stated that the road will ease means of transporting for farmers to move their farm produce to the place of purchase , noted that the road will equally address insecurity for the people.

Wike was happy with the quality of the work done by the contractor, which was about 40@% completed and 70% funded.
He further appreciated the Area Councils Chairmen for their support keeping him posted on happenings in their domain and promised to work with them for the interest of the people.

The Minister, however, chipped into President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts at seriously solving the economic crisis in the country.

All we urge Nigerians is to be patient . It is not easy, but he is willing . He knows there are problems , and that is why he says he will tackle those problems, and at the end of the day, everyone in Nigeria will be happy that the Nigeria of our dream is what we see, Wike said.
