By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The new FCT Minister, former Rivers State Governor, Nyesome Wike today has promised to restore the FCT Master plan to the designs of the founding fathers.

Wike made this known today at a reception to welcome him and the new FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mamoud to office.

Wike said that he is not in office to fly party flags but to work to fix Abuja back to in office also reeled out his plans to fix the FCT.

Wike said that his tenure will demolish illegal structures that contravene Abuja master plan. Land racketeering would be quashed as those who are into the business would be resisted.

‘lf you know you have built where it’s not suppose to build, it will go down. Our green areas and parks must come back.”

“We would tackle insecurity as no excuses from security agencies because they will be provided with the required tools to work with as security is germane.”

“FCT should be where people can come for holidays, this is to sanitize the city and end the raise of slums and shanties across the Territory .”

“Abuja has turned into a slum city . Sanitation is bad with refuse everywhere. We cannot allow this, we will look at issues of waste disposal.”
Speaking on party politics, Wike noted that he is not in Abuja to fly party flag, but work hard and deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
