When they saw that I was driving and they saw the peril coming, they immediately proceeded onward March 10 to spare Wike, by suspending the examination of the outcomes, which they continued on April 1. As at the time the examination was suspended, I had 281,000 votes, as against Wike’s 79,000 votes. In this way, they (INEC authorities) rapidly acted the hero.
