In an alarming incident in the Sango Ota area of Ogun State, an unidentified woman is accused of kidnapping two minors who belong to her landlord and a neighbour just three days after moving into the apartment.
The Ogun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating that the landlord, Johnson Oshinowo, reported that his four-year-old son and a neighbour’s four-year-old son were abducted by a woman who had rented an apartment on December 7, 2023.
Oshinowo claimed that the woman, who had spent only three days in the apartment, had no known identity, as neither the landlord nor the house agent conducted a profile check before renting the property to her.
Upon receiving the report, police detectives initiated an investigation, revealing that the suspect had a limited background, having spent a mere three days in the rented house. The landlord and house agent lacked any profile information about the woman.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alamutu, has ordered a discrete investigation into the abduction, emphasizing the need to track down the suspect and ensure the safe rescue of the abducted children. The police are intensifying efforts to uncover more details and locate the woman responsible for the alleged kidnapping.
