Woman Dies After Being Pushed Into Boiling Pepper Pot by Friends in Delta

Israel Joe, a Nigerian man, has disclosed the tragic death of his friend, Roseline, who died after being pushed into a pot of boiling pepper and tomatoes by her two female friends in Sapele, Delta State.

Roseline, a caterer, accompanied her friends on a trip to Sapele for a catering job, where the horrifying incident occurred on Saturday, April 13.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Joe revealed that before her untimely demise, Roseline had confided in him about her strained relationship with her two friends.

He called on the Nigeria Police to investigate and apprehend the perpetrators of Roseline’s murder, expressing frustration over the lack of progress in the case.

Joe’s post read, “She was pushed into a large pot of boiling pepper and tomatoes by her friend on Saturday, April 13. She fought for about two weeks with severe burns and injuries before passing away last week Friday, April 26.

“None of the neighbors in Otokutu were aware that Roseline had allegedly been killed by these same friends. She was laid to rest without any farewell or burial notice to honor her. Just two days in the morgue, the mortuary attendants demanded her immediate burial.

“She traveled with them for a catering job in Sapele, where they conversed in their local language with Roseline, who was Yoruba and couldn’t understand. She was pushed into the boiling pot, and even though they delayed in rescuing her, she was eventually rushed to Sage Hospital in Warri Estate, where efforts were made to save her life, but unfortunately, my friend couldn’t make it.”

Joe expressed his anguish over the fact that the culprits were still at large and called for justice for Roseline.

He added, “It pains me that these two girls are still roaming freely as if nothing happened. I detest intimidation and oppression, especially against non-indigenous persons. The police must apprehend them so they can face the consequences of their actions. We will fight for Roseline. You cannot be killed like an animal and buried without justice. Nobody deserves such a horrible fate. We never got to meet Rose, only conversing on Facebook due to our busy schedules, only to see you in the most heartbreaking condition at Sage Hospital, hoping for your recovery, but death took you away. Justice will prevail, even if it means exhuming your remains.”
