Women in Mining Nigeria (WIMIN) has extended heartfelt season’s greetings to its members and partners while reflecting on the challenges and achievements of 2024. The organization expressed gratitude for the dedication and collaboration of all stakeholders throughout the year.

In a statement signed by WIMIN’s Founder and National President, Engr. Janet Adeyemi, the organization described 2024 as a year of significant progress and impactful partnerships. “It has been a year filled with challenges, achievements, and a shared commitment to our organization’s mission and values. Your dedication and collaboration have been invaluable, and we are truly grateful for each of you,” she said.

The statement further encouraged members to take advantage of the holiday season to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with loved ones. “The holiday season provides us with an opportunity to pause, recharge, and appreciate the relationships we have built and the goals we have achieved. May this time bring you peace, joy, and moments of well-deserved rest,” Engr. Adeyemi added.

Looking ahead to 2025, WIMIN expressed optimism about the future. “Together, we will continue to grow, innovate, and make a positive impact,” the statement emphasized, reaffirming its commitment to advancing the mining sector and empowering women across Nigeria.

Engr. Adeyemi also conveyed warm holiday wishes on behalf of WIMIN, stating, “WIMIN wishes you and your loved ones a Happy Holiday Season and a prosperous New Year. May 2025 bring you good health, happiness, and success.”

The organization also announced that its offices would remain closed from December 20, 2024, to January 6, 2025, to allow staff to observe the holiday season.

WIMIN continues to be a key player in promoting gender equality and sustainable practices in the mining sector, with a vision to drive innovation and inclusivity in the years ahead.
