Thousands of people from Bichi Federal Consitituency will benefits from free medical screening services on 14th November, 2023 to commemorate World Diabetes Day 2023.
The programme would be sponsored by Honorable Abubakar Kabiru Abubakar Bichi, Chairman House Committee on Appropriations and Member, Representing Bichi Federal Consitituency, Kano State.
Narrating the execution of the programme, the Coordinator of the excercise who is also a Medical Doctor and Executive Chairman of Bichi Local Government Council, Dr Yusuf Mohammed Sabo, said that the free Medical Outreach sponsored by Honorable Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi will afford the opportunity for the thousands of people of Bichi Federal Constituency access to free screening of Diabetes and Hypertension to be conducted by more than 100 professional healthcare workers including Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists and other medical experts.
The medical outreach will also create awareness and sensitize members of the public across the 11 wards of Bichi Local Government area about the need to screen for early signs of diabetes and provide them with some level of medical intervention.
Dr Yusuf Mohammed Sabo and the Coordinator of the program said all those diagnosed with diabetes and high blood pressure during the medical outreach will be given free medications and counsellings on the importance of taking their drugs daily and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Speaking to our correspondent about the new development, residents of Bichi Town, Date, Dan Zabuwa, Santar Sabo and Damargu commended their lawmaker Hinourble Abubakar Kabir Abubakar for suggesting the medical outreach at the right time and thanked the executive chairman of Bichi local government council, Dr Yusuf Mohammed Sabo for being functual and selfless in handling all programmes related to health care in his domain.
