You’ll Remain a social media president- Wike taunts Peter Obi

By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike has called out former Labour Party, (LP) presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi as he says he will remain a social media president.
Wike said this on Thursday at the commissioning of.the newly constructed Roads LlS 111( Esther Bali street) and MAR 24( Kez Udezue street) in Mabushi District.

Wike called out Obi for nonperformance while he governed Imo State for eight years, but had turned the provision of school infrastructure into politics.

“There is one social media man who calls himself a presidential candidate; he went to one school in FCT and said we did not provide toilets for them. Imagine. He plays politics with everything.”

Wike slammed Obi for not developing Anambra State in his eight years as governor but instead returning the state’s money back to the bank.

“When he was governor for 8 years, did he develop the entire Anambra? Instead he carried the state’s money and put it in his bank.”

Someone who cannot manage a political party as a presidential candidate is talking about managing a complex country like Nigeria.

He will remain a social media president.”

The minister also engaged the LP Presidential candidate, “I challenge him to come out publicly and compare what he did for 8 years in Anambra with what we have done in the FCT in just two years.”

However, speaking on the construction of the Esther Baki and Kez Udezue streets in Mabushi, the FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, commended Mr. President, “for his steady leadership and enduring belief that the prosperity of Nigeria begins with the strength and functionality of its capital city.”
She acknowledged the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike as the driver of the Renewed Hope Agenda, whose purposeful leadership, passion for infrastructure renewal, and bold drive for results have ignited a new era of development within the FCT.

She tasked residents of the FCT to maintain the infrastructure, saying, “These roads are yours; may they serve your daily lives with ease and safety.
