ZAMFARA APC MISSING IN INEC LIST.

From Abba Kabara, Gusau.

Zamfara Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has displayed lists of political parties and names of candidates for governorship and state assembly elective posts.

The list of candidates for the All Progressive Congress (APC) is however missing from the master list.

Shedding light on the position of APC Zamfara, the INEC National Commissioner in charge of Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states, Hajia Amina Zakari said the Commission has still not received list of Zamfara APC from the national headquarters.

Zakari who was on assessment tour for the ongoing display of voters claims and objectives, said the Zamfara APC did not submit names of candidates as it fails to meet the INEC deadline.

She however reasons that the Zamfara APC could not submit any the list due to the pending court order.

“INEC has in several instances announced that APC did not submit names of candidates from Zamfara”, she said, adding that ” If the courts ask us to go ahead and receive the list from Zamfara, we will certainly comply”, she stressed.

The lists which are pasted outside the INEC state headquarters, Gusau shows the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), National Rescue Movement (NRM) are among the over 20 parties whose candidates names appeared on the list.
