Fresh attacks in Zamfara claims 21 lives

Suspected armed bandits Yesterday night launched another attack on Sabon Garin Dutsen Kura community of Tsafe local government of Zamfara, allegedly killing twenty one people.

A community member who talked on condition of unanimity, narrates that the bandits besieged the village at about 12pm and surrounded the community and begun shooting indiscriminately, leaving twenty one victims dead.

The witness discloses that “currently, all the members of the community have fled to neighbouring towns for safety.

It would ne recalled that Tsafe local government has for over three weeks been experiencing persistent and coordinated bandits attacks and mass killings of innocent peasants farmers.

The spokesman of the state police command SP Shehu Muhammad said the police is still compiling information on the incidence and will avail the press in due course.
