1 die in lone accident on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

A lone accident involving a Toyota Sienna bus on the Lagos – Ibadan expressway on Tuesday resulted in the death of one of the occupants while two others sustained injuries.Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Public Relations Officer, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Ogun, who confirmed the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta, said that the accident occurred at 6.30am near the Christopher University.He said that the vehicle with registration number KMR 508 XA , which was loaded with bags of foodstuffs and other goods, was Lagos bound when it had a burst tyre and somersaulted, throwing its passengers and contents on the road.Akinbiyi explained that the deceased had been deposited at the morgue of Idera Hospital, Sagamu while those injured were receiving treatment in the same hospital.He commiserated with the family of the deceased and advised motorists to desist from buying fairly-used tyres
