Onaiwu Calls on Obaseki and aides- ” Stop the G5 Governors blackmail”

Earl Osaro Onaiwu, a frontline PDP aspirant in Edo state, has on behalf of the eight faithful and loyal PDP gubernatorial aspirants in the state who have been fighting against the flawed ward Congress of the party last weekend, called on Governor Godwin Obaseki and his aides to put an end to the baseless blackmail by spreading rumors that they are being sponsored by the G5 Governors.

Contrary to the false narrative being peddled by the Governor and his team to canvass for the support of Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar.

Earl Onaiwu emphasizes that the aspirants are not supported by the G5 Governors. Earl Onaiwu said as a former DG of the PDP Governors forum, he enjoys a relationship with the G5 Governors.

“Is it not ironic that Dr. Peter Mbah , Governor of Enugu State who midwifed the flawed congress is a product of G5?”

Earl Onaiwu revealed that he played a prominent role in the presidential campaigns of Atiku Abubakar in the 36 states of the Federation in both 2019 and 2023 without blemish. He asserted that he cannot be blackmailed for his unwavering loyalty to the party.

“Obaseki and his aides were welcomed into this party by us, and we cannot abandon our party for them,”
Onaiwu said

He noted that they have been committed members of the party long before the Governor joined, and their loyalty to the People’s Democratic Party remains unwavering.

In addition, Onaiwu commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his display of courage in being the first to raise concerns over the flawed and one-sided arrangement of the Edo ward Congress. “This display of courage is laudable and shows the true character of a committed party member” He said.

Onaiwu also called on party faithfuls, former PDP Senate Presidents, and former PDP Presidential aspirants to unite and speak out against the injustice prevailing in Edo state. It is imperative that we stand together in solidarity to ensure justice and fairness in the party’s internal processes.

Onaiwu reiterated his commitment to the People’s Democratic Party and urgeed all members to remain steadfast in their belief in the ideals of the party. He acknowledged that their are challenging times ahead but said that unity and resilience will ultimately lead the party to victory.
