Delta Commissioner Assures of More Development Projects as Oborevwori Hits the Road Running Again

By Sam Akanimo

Delta State Commissioner for Information, Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza,
says Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is working, and that Deltans are seeing it.

Already, the governor has promised to serve Deltans with humility, in the discharge of the responsibility Deltans bestowed on him as their governor.

“He will continue to work relentlessly to advance and transform Delta with the MORE Agenda and Deltans will enjoy more dividends of democracy as the second year unfolds”, says the information commissioner.

Oborevwori celebrated the first anniversary of his administration as the governor of Delta on May 29, 2024.
Osuoza said it was with “a grand, colourful, uplifting and befitting praise and worship musical extravaganza”, which featured some of the finest gospel artistes and music ministers in Nigeria.

“May 29, 2024 also marked the uninterrupted commencement of the second year of the administration and as he promised during the glorious praise and worship anniversary celebration.

“Deltans will experience more dividends of democracy and one of the projects which Governor Oborevwori is kicking off this second year stretch is the commissioning of a legacy structure which is very close to his heart; the Delta State High Court Complex, Asaba.

“Deltans are very much aware of the unprecedented 38 court cases which Governor Oborevwori was subjected to and endured with tremendous psychological mettle and this magnificent, five-storey edifice.

“The edifice is adorned with 6 conference halls, 6 witness waiting rooms, 6 secretary offices, 6 court rooms, 6 holding cells, Lawyers Lounge, Judges Lounge, VIP Lounge, and Multi-purpose Hall.

“There is also General Conference Hall, Ceremonial Hall, Chambers, a library, zoom room, computer laboratory, public and private elevators, registry, canteen, car park and male and female convenience apartments.

“There is a 350 KVA generator and paid independent power plant connected to the state Independent Power Plant to supply uninterrupted power to the complex, will serve as a dedicated symbol of the judiciary, as the citadel of hope and bastion for justice for years to come”, the commissioner said.

According to him, the state High Court Complex will be commissioned by “our own outstanding, phenomenal, globally adored and universally celebrated national icon of peace and leadership integrity, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, the former President of Nigeria, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.”
