1962 Lands To Be Allocated To Applicants In Sokoto

State Commissioner for Lands,Housing and Urban Development, Nasir Aliyu Dantsoho announced while adressing newsmen on the activities of governor Ahmad Aliyu’s one year in office.

He said only deserving applicants that fulfil requirements would benefit with the land adding that cretain guidelined for allocating the houses to avoid double ownership was also organised.

In his further enumeration of achievements, Dantsoho averred that all roads leading to Sokoto metropolis that has been dilapidated for some years are now motorable

He said 40 township roads were constructed while others are rehabilitated to make transportation within and outside the metropolis easier in addition to four terminals for open body trucks and tankers.

With regard to houses, Dantsoho affirmed that the state government constructed 500 houses in addition to the ones left unfinished by the immediate past administration which they renovated and now in good order.

He similarly confirmed that all outstanding compensations liable for payments as regards construction of roads and houses have been settled including the inherited ones.

He said all houses to be constructed within the metropolis would be designed by the Ministry of Lands,Housing and Urban Development.
