Northern group, under the guise of
Solidarity Group for Nyesom Wike have, on Friday urged the Rivers state Governor Barr. Nyesom Wike to stand on his agitations for justice and equity to prevail, saying they’re with him as a group from the Northern part of Nigeria.
The group headed by a presidential aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Abdulkarim Abdul Mai- Tantabara, in a release on Friday in Kaduna, stated that they came up out of necessity from northern part of Nigeria in support of Wike.
“This is a group that came up out of necessity from the Northern part of Nigeria headed by Abdulkarim Abdul Mai Tantabara, a Presidential aspirant of PDP, comprising of youth and elders in support of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and three other Governors of PDP.
“We found it necessary to come into the issue following events that are happening in our great Party, PDP.
“Since after the primary elections, events have been unfolding between the National Chairman of PDP Iyorchia Ayu, the Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and some loyalist of Atiku Abubakar who were not with the party when
the going was going tough”, they said.
They continue that “Governor Nyesom Wike was there for the party, he brought Secondous as National Chairman and he brought Iyorchia Ayu as National Chairman of PDP.
“After the primaries election of the party Nyesom Wike name came for the vice President but still Atiku Abubakar and his so called lovers decided not to make Wike as Vice
President.
One of the agitations of Nyesom Wike is for the resignation of the National Chairman so that a southerner becomes the Chairman.
“Out of selfish interest Iyorchia Ayu refused to resign so that the party moves ahead. He said No, now so many things have been revealed by the ongoing feud which has open the eyes of people who are not interested and who don’t show care to what is happening in the Nigeria political arena.
They are now aware of the happening that is why this group decided to give a special backing for Governor Nyesom Wike and the other four Governors who wants to make sure you either do it right or you get a wrong election.
“We are advising the National Chairman of PDP and the
Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to take a drastic action before any damage is done to our party so that peace will reign and winning to come our side.
“Wike stand on your agitations for justice and equity to prevail, we are with you as a group from the Northern part of Nigeria. We say
KUDOS to you”, it stated. End
