Kaduna Pilgrims Depart for Makkah After Completing Madina Rites

By Achadu Gabriel | Kaduna

The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency says it will transport the final batch of Kaduna pilgrims to Makkah on Friday after completing the mandatory four-day stay in Madina.

A statement issued on Friday by the Chief Press Secretary to Uba Sani, Malam Ibraheem Musa, from Madina, attributed the smooth evacuation process to the governor’s support for the agency’s preparations and operations.

According to the statement, the Director of Operations of the pilgrims agency, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Yusuf, said the state government’s support enabled early planning and extensive sensitisation programmes for intending pilgrims before their departure from Nigeria.

“The exercise educated our pilgrims on all aspects of Hajj, the rules of Saudi Arabia and how they should conduct themselves throughout the pilgrimage,” Yusuf said.

He noted that the early preparations contributed significantly to the orderly conduct of Hajj activities in Madina, adding that officials encountered minimal challenges with pilgrims from Kaduna State.

The Director of Operations also commended the Kaduna State Hajj Delegation Committee, led by former Head of Service Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, for providing guidance and coordination during the pilgrims’ stay in Madina.

He further disclosed that members of the state Hajj delegation and officials of the pilgrims welfare agency visited a Kaduna pilgrim, Malam Sani Garba, who was receiving treatment at Almiqati General Hospital in Madina.

According to the statement, the pilgrim has since been discharged and departed for Makkah on Thursday.

Yusuf also praised members of the Special Hajj Committee and the management of the pilgrims agency for securing accommodation for Kaduna pilgrims in the Misfalah district of Makkah, located along Ibrahim Khalil Road and within walking distance of Masjid al-Haram.
