By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The FCT Minister Barr. Nysome Wike has said that to mark his second anniversary, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would commission a line-up of projects that would change the economic narratives of FCT residents.

Wike disclosed this when he spoke with newsmen on Saturday after a tour of projects at A2- Pai 15 km road in Kwali Local Government Area, Market- Palace ‘ Radio Nigeria road in Gwagwalada, and Ushafa in Bwari Area Council.

Wike said that President Tinubu has directed that infrastructural development should also be emphasized in the satellite towns, and not only concentrated in the cities.
He hinted that Mr. President would also commission projects in one or two satellite towns to mark his second anniversary in office.

Wike said, “Today, the 5th of April, we have gone around to three satellite towns in three area councils. One is in Gwagwalada, where you have the market road, the palace road, the radio house road, which will also be commissioned by the grace of God, during his second year anniversary.”

“We went to A2 to Pai, and that is Kwali area council. You can see how beautiful that road is. It is a road of about 15 kilometers, but they have done about 13 kilometers asphalt wearing course, which will also be handed over to us for Mr. President’s second year in office.”

“This A2 goes to the War College, the other goes to the community, and then there is another one in the other area. So, this is also another area council developing and connecting the satellite towns to the cities”, he stated.

The minister further noted the quality job done by the contractor at A2 to Pai, Gwagwalada and Ushafa, adding the administration is happy that the contractor has assured that the projects would be handed over before Mr. President’s second Anniversary.
