30-Year-Old Graduate of Imo Poly Allegedly Takes His Own Life

Nerus Elemamba, a 30-year-old graduate of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede in Imo State, has reportedly committed suicide, his body discovered hanging in his room on Monday evening in Umuohii, Oboama community, Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area.

Reports suggest that Elemamba took his life after participating in the day’s village manual labor, seemingly without any signs of depression.

According to sources familiar with the incident, Elemamba, an Architecture graduate, appeared healthy during the morning activities but was later found deceased in his room, with no apparent reason for his actions or any suicide note left behind.

The tragic event has left the villagers in shock, with cultural rituals performed before his burial, as per tradition.

The community youth leader, Iheukwumere Ibeh, expressed the community’s bewilderment over the incident, stating that Elemamba’s sudden death had no discernible explanation.

When reached for comment, the state police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, stated that he was yet to be briefed on the matter.
