As the coronavirus hits the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, 12 persons have tested positive yesterday in Mabushi community in the capital city.
This was revealed when a disease expert in the FCT administration department who did not want his name mentioned said that the condition in the FCT was getting worst, adding that the epidemiology situation in the capital city was worrying.

He said,” Due to the fear if community transmission we had embarked on community active case search, we focused on Mpape due to proximity to be Maitama where we has a lot of cases. Then to Gishiri, where we got one positive case but what is worrisome is the situation in Mabushi where we have gotten 12 cases already.
He said that officials are working round the clock trace all contacts related to identify cases.
So far tlFCT has recorded 81 cases as of Saturday with 56 active cases, 23 discharged patients and two fatalities.
Minister of Health Dr Osagie Ehanire had disclosed that there is already early evidence of community transmission which necessitates urgent physical distancing, use of face mask particularly in crowded places also maintainance of hand and personal hygiene and strict adherence measures a d regulations as announced by the president.
