NGO donates Transformers to Taraba communities

A Non Governmental Organization, G20 based in Abuja, Sunday donated and install two transformer to communities in wukari local government area of Taraba state .

Speaking while donating the Transformers to the benefiting communities in Wukari, the chairmain G20, Ishaku Tikon said the idea came about when youths from the two communities wrote through the royal father, seeking for assistance from the club to provide light to their areas, the club then deem it fit to contribute its quota towards the development of the area and the state, Tikon said the club have organised peace retreat, by giving scholarship to students, providing mosquito nets and exercise books among others to communities in the southern part of the state.

The benefiting communities are Benkenda and Tsenepambe all located at the outshirts of wukari.

He said G20 club is a vibrant youth association established with the sole aim of fostering peace and unity, it is a non governmental organization with members drawn from local governments that make up the southern zone of the state

Speaking while commissioning the transformers, chairman council of chiefs in Taraba, his Royal Majesty Dr. shekarau Angyu masa ibi, Aku uka of Wukari appreciated the club for the gesture saying this will go a long way in improving the economic status of the people living in the area.

The monarch called on other NGO’s to emulate the good gesture of G20 by bringing back societies to a lamplight in the interest of development, while charging the benefiting communities to safe guard the transformers from vandals.
