In enhancing expertise in fiscal management and accountability, Bayelsa State Head of Service, Dame Barr. Mrs. Biobelemoye Charles Onyema has canvassed continuous reskilling through professional trainings.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) on Monday, she noted that Accountants’ expertise have helped the State in planning and implementation of policies beneficial to the citizenry.
She stated that the Association’s Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD) programme offers a veritable platform for robust learning of new knowledge and skills acquisition.
ANAN President, Rev. Canon Prof. Benjamin Chuka Osisioma in his remarks noted that the accounting competencies garnered from the training programme will greatly add value to Members’ capacity in financial modelling and implementation in building a prosperous society.
He added that the MCPD training programme will aid Members’ capacity in
measurement analysis and interpretation,
identification and application of appropriate, reliable, and verifiable metrics to analyze financial data.
