OYO GUBER 2023: I WILL UNSEAT MAKINDE SAYS, CHIEF ADEBAYO ADELABU.

A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Thursday declared his intention to contest the gubernatorial election in Oyo state come 2023.

Adebayo Adelabu also known as Penkelemes who is one of the gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, declared his ambition at a well-attended ceremony in Ibadan where he rated Governor Seyi Makinde low in term of good governance, saying he would send Seyi Makinde out of office in 2023 with the massive support of the electorates.

Adelabu said the state was highly disappointed with Makinde’s performance adding that they were already set to remove him from office by their ballots.

Adebayo Adelabu agreed that it was not the will of God for him to win 2019 election even though he got the highest number of votes at the poll. He said leaders of the All Progressive Congress APC who teamed up to give Makinde the victory were back in the APC and they were now supporting him.

He said,” I am happy that we are all alive now that we are ready to send Seyi packing. Seyi has gone already and that is certain. It is now the time that I, Adebayo Adelabu, will take over the leadership of our dear State on the platform of All Progressive Congress APC come 2023

“Governor Seyi has failed woefully most especially in the aspect of security, education, health, agriculture and other areas. But all the mistake s of 2019 will be corrected in 2023.

” Seyi has sold Agbowo Shopping Complex which was built by late chief Bola Ige, he sold it for #50bn, he also spends #250m on diesel to power streetlights every month. He said he was worth#48bn before he became governor– A very big lie. Where is his company here in Oyo state? Let him mention ten (10) indigenes of Oyo state he employed here in his company. Every thing is being taken to the US.

Seyi has cheated the oke Ogun people, the road from Ibadan to iseyin is not supposed to be a single lane, it should be a dualized lane which Gov. Abiola Ajimobi paid for while in office.

Adelabu said his administration if voted into power, would solve insecurity, address the rot in the education and health sector and turn the state into the food basket of the nation.

Some of the leaders of the APC, who attended the official declaration were a former Deputy Governor, Alake Adeyemo, Senator Ayoade Adeseun , former speaker Olatunji Ojo, ex-secretary to state government, chief Sharafadeen Ali, Hon. Torino Ajanaku ,Hon. Saheed Fijabi, and Alhaji Fokoko a representative of Yoruba Films industry among others….
