Bandits kill 86yr old man, abducts 21year old girl in Southern Kaduna

Bandits have reportedly killed an 86 years old man in the local government area of former Kaduna Deputy Governor, late Arc Bala Bantex.

The victim, Mr Daniel Yatai, father a journalist, was a retiree of Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), and retired in 1991.
The second child of the victim Ms Christiana Yatai, who witnessed the sad incident, said that the gun men came to the house around 15 minutes after 11pm on Tuesday and broke into the house through the fence.
“We are five in the house, myself, my dad, my mum, two of my niece and a nephew.

“They asked us to open the door and when we refused they break the main entrance door and gained access to the house.

“My father was in his room and one of them wearing a mask, who was outside the house short him through the window and hit him from the back.

“Those who entered the house later went to his room and finished him off. They went away with one of my niece, Ms Brenda Friday, 21, a final year student of Kaduna State College of Education Gidan Waya”, she told newsmen.

Another child of the deceased, Mr Joseph Yatai said the gunmen has already contacted the family and demanded N15 million to release the girl.
