2022 Abuja Expo: Culture sector is the game changer for Nigeria’s development – Otunba Runsewe

As Nigeria hosts it’s 15th International Arts and Culture, INAC, Expo Abuja 2022 in the Capital Territory, the Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Otunba Segun Runsewe has confirmed that the nation’s Cultural sector is the game changer for national development of the country.
Runsewe made this known yesterday at the opening of the 3 Day cultural fiesta in holding at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
He said, ” The culture sector is is undoubtedly the game changer in the mobilisation of local and international influencers in the quest to build a peaceful world and nations, and effort needed for developmental milestones, from all ramifications.”

” we have to be consistent, strong and determined in Nigeria to tell our stories, give other nations and people opportunities to share ideas, trade and understand our cultural value chains.”

INAC is a vehicle not only to drive sensitization investment in our Arts and crafts, it is also a channel to integrate and provide platforms for other countries to share their cultural tourism policies and investment opportunities that could help bring peace and unity to mankind” the NCAC boss emphasized.

The theme of the 15th INAC is and “Networking Nigerian crafts to the world” with trade shows from 29 countries in attendance and seventeen representative states across Nigeria.
The foreign countries including Bulgaria, Trinidad and Tobago, China, Malaysia, Spain, Iran, China Philippines, India, Syria, Venezuela, Burkina Faso, Bangladesh among others showcasing their crafts and Arts , history and economic values.

The three days Expo which began on Thursday, will end on Saturday, showcasing features like leather and interior design, Raffia and wood works, Apparels and Embroidery, skill acquisition sessions for women and youths, Decorative pottery, metal design, cultural souvenirs, cuisines Beads and Hand made Bronze, music and culture dance.
