The atrocities of area Boys have started resurfacing in some areas of Sokoto metropolis. The ugly trend is causing sleepless nights to some residents of Hubbare, Kofar Atiku and Rinin Tawaye all in Sokoto North Local Government Area.
A source in the area said the menace is being masterminded by a notorious drug baron Aminu A. A of Gidan Haki area of the metropolis.
The source also stated that A.A was alleged to be selling all kinds of hard drugs to youths thereby unleashing terror to innocent residents of the affected areas.
It was also alleged that one Mansur Aliyu known as Boka and Mazinu known as Sheikh are the ring leaders of Hubbare and Kofar Atiku gangsters.
Some residents of the area spoken to alleged that they are in the habit of organizing and carrying out attacks under the influence of hard drugs.
They therefore called on the authorities concern to come to their rescue and praised the efforts of the state government as well as the security agencies in the state in their war against criminal elements and terrorism.
