Dan Modi Administration Would Boost Agriculture In Jigawa State- AFAN Chairman

The newly elected governor of Jigawa State Malam Umar Namadi Dan Modi’s policy on Agriculture would be a good channel to boosting good production, employment opportunities and economic progress in the state.

This was expressed by the state’s chairman of the All Farmers Association AFAN, Idris Yau Mai Unguwa Jaga in a chat with Newsmen in Duse, shortly after the presentation of certificate of return to the Governor elect, adding that from his 12 point agendas presented to the people of Jigawa state, Agriculture would receive a top priority at both dry and rainy seasons.

” We have studied all the 12 points agendas of our governor elect Malam Umar Namadi Dan Modi, and we found it necessary to express our gratitude that agriculture is on top of the agendas which is a sector that contributed to Jigawa state’s economy in addition to other sectors”. He lamented.

Mai Unguwa Jaga reiterated their determination to ensure the full implementation of the policy on agriculture so as to ensure that Jigawa state remained one of the best in agricultural transformation and economic viability with optimum results.

He called on the good farmers of Jigawa state to adopt research findings from professionals in every cropping season and to seek alternate counselling from the agricultural development projects who are always there to assist for profitable farming.

Mai Unguwa Jaga on behalf of the executive officers, members and entire Jigawa State farmers congratulates Malam Umar Namadi Dan Modi for receiving his certificate of return as the elected governor of the state during the 18th March gubernatorial election, and pledge to work closely with his government for the actualization of his blueprints on Agriculture.
