Ihedioha succeeds at Tribunal

By Jennifer Y Omiloli

The Imo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja has announced Emeka Ihedioha valid champ of Imo gubernatorial election.

The Tribunal, Saturday rejected the request recorded against Ihedioha by three ideological groups – Action Alliance (AA), All Progressives Congress (APC) and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The parties alongside their governorship applicants, Uche Nwosu, Hope Uzodinma and Ifeanyi Ararume had asked the tribunal to invalidate the election of Ihedioha on the ground that he was unlawfully proclaimed as the legislative head of the state by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
