Motorola Introduces the Thinnest Flippable Smartphone with the Return of Razr

Motorola is making a comeback in the flip phone market with the launch of two new devices, the Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra.

The Razr 40 Ultra pays homage to the iconic RAZR V3 and claims to be the thinnest flippable smartphone when closed. It boasts a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform, a long-lasting battery, and the largest external display ever seen on a flip phone, measuring 3.6 inches with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a resolution of 1056 x 1066.

This device also doubles as a tripod, enabling hands-free image and video capture, along with AI face tracking, gesture capture, and auto-smile capture.

Even when closed, users can still respond to messages, get directions, control Spotify, and perform various tasks with the Razr 40 Ultra.

On the other hand, the Razr 40 shares the same smooth and vibrant internal display, teardrop hinge, and form factor as the Razr 40 Ultra. However, it features a smaller external display and comes with Gorilla Glass and premium vegan leather. The Razr 40 is designed to be easy to grip, soft to the touch, and comes in trendy colors such as Sage Green, Vanilla Cream, and Summer Lilac.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Razr 40 boasts the highest resolution sensors among Motorola’s foldable devices, with a 64 MP main camera and a 32 MP front camera for high-quality video calls.

In addition to the Razr series, Motorola also unveiled the Edge 40 Viva Magenta edition, completing the Edge 40 family lineup. This device offers a curved display, IP68 dust and water protection, a powerful 50 MP camera, and fast charging, all packaged in a sleek and stylish design.
