Ohanaeze Youths Commend Tinubu’s Appointment of Igbo as Service Chief

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide Commends President Tinubu for Appointing Igbo Son as Service Chief, Expects Positive Outcomes. The group believes that with the appointment, Tinubu has demonstrated his positive intentions for the country and his commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that everyone is involved. In a recent development, reports have emerged stating that President Tinubu took decisive action on Monday by relieving the Service Chiefs of their duties and appointing new replacements.

Responding to this development, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the National President of the Ohanaeze youths, released a statement on Tuesday expressing his admiration for President Tinubu’s bold step towards national healing. Nnabuike acknowledged that Tinubu had fulfilled his promise to the citizens by taking decisive action in restructuring the nation’s security apparatus. He stated, “For eight long years, we raised our voices in outcry, repeatedly expressing our concern that no Igbo individual occupied a prominent position within the country’s top security echelon. However, our appeals fell on deaf ears during the tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari.””He ensured that Ndigbo were completely marginalized under his administration. However, in a remarkably short span of time since assuming power, President Tinubu has exhibited a strong determination to rectify those injustices.”Continuing his remarks, Okwu emphasized that the appointment of Rear Admiral E. A Ogalla from Enugu State “serves as a clear testament to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s determination to foster national unity and reconciliation. The previous administration left behind a deeply divided country unlike anything we have witnessed before.”

He further expressed that President Tinubu’s recent actions have instilled hope in Nigerians, signaling a promising future. Okwu also highlighted the recent promotion of Frank Mba, another distinguished Igbo individual, from AIG to DIG of police, which further adds to the positive developments for the Igbo community. However, Okwu urged Ndigbo to extend their maximum support to the Tinubu administration, emphasizing their belief that he has positive intentions for the country and will ensure inclusivity by involving everyone in his plans.
