Bafarawa Challenged FG On Insecurity, Food Security

The former governor of Sokoto state Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa has urged Federal Government of the country under the leadership of Ahmad Bola Tinubu to identify causes of insecurity and food shortages in the country.

He said doing so would enable the government of the country to improve on the availability of foodstuffs and all channels of human development.

“Even though we all know that insecurity in the northern parts of the country is one of the major problems affecting agriculture, if Federal government should identify this problem and more,then shortage of foodstuffs would no more be Nigeria’s problem.

In the same vein, Bafarawa also discussed that due to frequent bandits attacks, thousands of households were displaced and therefore large number of families vacated from their farmland areas causing education to suffer, as a result, enrollment into schools has suffered greatly as large number of pupils left schools leaving only structures in many places.

“Federal government is for all, it should identify root causes of insecurity, doing so is solving greater percentage of the problems.

“Nigeria’s problem is neither money nor human resources,but how to use and maintain both”,Bafarawa revealed when a team of journalists paid him Sallah homage at his domain.
