“APC Vice Chairman Resigns Amid Party Turmoil”

salihu Lukman, the National Vice Chairman (North-west) of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), has tendered his resignation amidst internal turmoil within the party. In a letter addressed to the Acting National Chairman, Abubakar Kyari, Mr. Lukman expressed his concern that the current atmosphere in the party is not aligned with its original vision of being a progressive force in Nigerian politics.

The resignation of a key party official comes at a time when the APC is grappling with internal divisions and power struggles. Lukman’s decision to step down signals a deepening crisis within the party and adds to the challenges faced by its leadership.

Coinciding with Lukman’s resignation, the chairpersons of the APC in the North-west zone endorsed Abdullahi Ganduje, a former governor of Kano State, for the position of national chairman. This move has further intensified the political landscape within the party and raised questions about its direction and unity.
