Wife of Former Skye Bank Chairman, Tunde Ayeni, Accuses Woman of Using Juju on Her Husband

By Daniel Edu

Abiola Ayeni, the wife of Tunde Ayeni, the former chairman of defunct Skye Bank, has made serious accusations against an Abuja-based lawyer named Adaobi Alagwu. Mrs. Ayeni claims that Alagwu used diabolical means, referred to as juju, to bewitch her husband.

In an interview with ThisDay, Mrs. Ayeni expressed her belief that money, friends, and strange women can cause a man to misbehave. She accused Alagwu of being a “diabolical… runs girl” and alleged that she had plans to falsely claim that her child was Tunde Ayeni’s.

Although Tunde Ayeni admitted to having a brief relationship with Alagwu in 2019, Mrs. Ayeni maintains that her husband is not the father of Alagwu’s child. She stands by her husband and supports his claim that the child is not his.

Mrs. Ayeni further accused Alagwu of being a “desperate gold digger” who believes she can become Mrs. Ayeni by falsely associating a child with her highest-paying victim. She suggested that her husband might have been under Alagwu’s spell due to his unusual spending on her.

Regarding the impact of the scandal on her marriage, Mrs. Ayeni asserted that her marriage is standing solid and that her husband’s love for her is not threatened. She declared that her children are unaffected by the claim, and Tunde Ayeni has no children outside their three children together.

Mrs. Ayeni warned Alagwu, through their lawyers, to stop parading herself as Mrs. Ayeni and using the Ayeni surname for her child, as the child is not Tunde Ayeni’s. She maintained that she and her husband are legally married, and the child’s surname will eventually change to that of its true father.
