By Daniel Edu

Nigerian Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has declared himself the “Man of the Year.” The award-winning singer, who has been in the headlines for various reasons lately, shared a photo of himself on a ship on his Instagram page.

As he continues his tour for his new album ‘Timeless,’ Davido crowned himself as the “Man of the Year.”

The first half of the year brought a fair amount of drama for Davido, with rumors of his involvement with several women and claims of pregnancies.

Anita Brown Accusation: A US-based entrepreneur, Anita Brown, claimed that Davido impregnated her. She alleged that they met in Dubai in 2017 and shared screenshots of alleged messages between them as well as a pregnancy test result.

Ivanna Bay Accusation: A French lady named Ivanna Bay also accused Davido of impregnating her. She shared screenshots of her alleged conversations with Davido on social media and expressed her disappointment while cautioning other women to be careful.

Pendo Stacy’s Claims: Kenyan socialite Pendo Stacy made bold claims about her past romantic involvement with Davido. She revealed their alleged relationship on a TV program and even displayed Davido’s boxers as evidence.

Chisom’s Accusation and Apology: Another lady named Chisom accused Davido of pressuring her into having an abortion with a promise of giving her N10 million. She later apologized to Davido, stating that her accusations had negatively affected her life and family.

Kenyan Socialite’s Claim: A Kenyan socialite also asserted that she had a child with Davido.

Amidst these controversies, Davido’s self-proclamation as the “Man of the Year” might be seen as a declaration of his resilience and self-assuredness in the face of various allegations.
